Brief info

Dr Mackey grew up in Williamsport PA and graduated magna cum laude with a BS in biology from Penn State. She then received her medical degree from the Penn State College of Medicine and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her internal medicine internship at Penn State before going to Geisinger Medical Center for her dermatology residency.

Dr Mackey is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Lancaster County  Medical Society. She has served as past president of both the Lancaster County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology.

She has a passion for teaching and has been involved with teaching the family practice residents from Lancaster General Health for many years and has won several teaching awards for that work.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys bicycling, hiking, weight training and her sharing her home with rescued greyhounds.
