Additionally, she teaches dermatology residents associated with Lehigh Valley Hospital. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University followed by medical school at Pennsylvania State University, residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center, residency in anatomic pathology and research fellowship in dermatopathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and fellowship in dermatopathology at New York University Medical Center. After her fellowship, Dr. Baldassano remained on staff at NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital where she taught dermatology residents and practiced dermatopathology for the dermatology clinics and hospital.
Subsequently, Dr. Baldassano worked as a dermatopathologist at the Institute for Dermatopathology in Pennsylvania and Dermatology Physicians, Inc., prior to launching her own dermatopathology laboratory (Baldassano Dermatopathology, P.C.) in 2005. While with the Institute for Dermatopathology in Pennsylvania and Dermatology Physicians, Inc., she was also on staff at the Dermatology department at Drexel University Medical Center/Hahnemann Hospital teaching dermatopathology fellows as well as dermatology residents.
She has many articles published in peer-reviewed journals and is currently a reviewer for the peer-reviewed journal, The American Journal of Dermatopathology.
